How Do Orthodontics Work?

Traditional orthodontics use brackets and wires to guide teeth into a straighter position over a pre-determined period of time. Brackets are available in tooth-colored ceramic, clear plastic, and metal. They are bonded to the front of your teeth and the wires are strung through them to create a gentle force that pulls your teeth into their ideal position, delivering a straight, beautiful smile. Treatment with orthodontics typically takes from 18 months to three years, depending upon the condition of your teeth. Orthodontics can correct the following issues:

Should You Get Fastbraces® Instead of Traditional Braces?

Fastbraces move your teeth faster than traditional orthodontics. The technology uses a triangular-shaped bracket that incorporates only one wire at a time.
